In the current era of technology, hosting a website has become much easier than it used to be even 5 years ago. Many companies have come into competition, and all of these are committed towards providing great service. The companies have placed servers across different locations on earth to provide easier access to website hosting services and the business is quite trending these days. SiteGround, Bluehost and HostGator are three much popular website hosting companies and in service for more than a decade, hence people actually do prefer them a lot. The pricing is very much reasonable, the internet is practically filled up with affiliates from these companies who offer countless numbers of coupon codes for consumer discount.

Here’s a brief comparison among these three hosting services.
Pricing and Features
For this comparison, we picked the shared hosting plans of all three companies. Of course, they offer all types of hosting services like dedicated servers, VPS hosting, cloud hosting etc. but shared hosting is the type most people buy and the base of business of a website hosting company evolve around this.
- SiteGround: There are three shared hosting plans named StartUp, GrowBig and GoGeek. The StartUp plan costs $6.95 and it comes with single domain, unlimited bandwidth, 10 GB hard drive space, GrowBig costs $9.95/month and offers multiple domains, 20 GB hard drive space and and GoGeek costs $14.95/month and offers multiple domains, 30 GB hard drive space. New customers (not repeated customers at all) can use coupon code for SiteGround and get 70% off for the first order. Both these latter plans offer unlimited bandwidth.
- Bluehost: They have three plans as well, goes by the names Basic, Plus and Business Pro. The Basic plan costs only $3.49/month and offers 1 domain name and 50 GB of hard drive space. Plus offers 10 domains and 150 GB of hard drive space for $5.95/month and Business Pro offers unlimited domain names and hard drive space for only $13.95/month. All these plans come with unlimited bandwidth allocation. If hard drive space matters, you would probably like Bluehost over SiteGround.
- HostGator: Hatchling, Baby and Business are the names HostGator has chosen for their shared hosting plans. All plans currently have 60% discount on all new signups. Hatchling plan starts at $2.78/month and it offers single domain. Baby and Business both plans offer unlimited domains and one-click installation facility, priced at $3.98/month and $5.98/month respectively. However, Business Plan comes with free private SSL and IP addresses, while the Baby Plan comes with shared SSL certificate.
Uptime Guarantee
All these companies offer an uptime of 99.9% for all web hosting plans in theories, however SiteGround and Bluehost seemed to have kept their promises while HostGator had fallen slightly backwards. The uptime was nearly 98% for all these providers. However, HostGator’s Dual Xeon based server computers are much powerful even though the uptime isn’t highest.
Customer Support
All these three web hosting companies offer customer support through hotline numbers, email, live chat and ticketing system. No complaints regarding the customer support has been received so far, since these companies take serving the customer with whatever they need very seriously.
Conclusion
Though the prices are very low, yet some people could complain about a higher price tag especially with SiteGround. Good news is, a customer could avail plenty of coupon codes on an affiliate marketer’s website for an even lower amount on monthly fees.
